#ELM26 has concluded!
Congratulations to Tormod Tronstad Lang,
your 2026 European Legacy Masters Champion!
For the fifth year running, the European Legacy Masters gathered 106 of the very best Legacy players from all over Europe, to battle for treasure, for country, and for glory.
On the last day of Eternal Mania II in Hasselt, Belgium, one particular car(d) dominated the conversation. Would the newly printed Fantasticar execute a perfect hit-and-run, grabbing a trophy on its way out of the format? Or were rumours about the car’s speed and performance perhaps unfounded?
As the swiss portion of the tournament progressed, another new combodeck started drawing attention instead, with multiple players wielding the Goblin Welder – Sewer-veillance Cam combo-deck on their way to the top 8, including none other than our ELM25 Winner Johan Larsson. By the time we reached the top 4, noone had managed to , eliminate the reigning champion – until Tormod Lang from Norway came rowing along. In two swift games, he used his old faithful Dimir Tempo deck to quelch the Swedish hope of a back-to-back victory.
In doing so, he earned himself a spot in the finals, where he would face none other than two-time GP Winner Rodrigo Togores, who had cruised to the finals using the brand new car-powered Vroomsday strategy with great succes. A player of this calibre on a new and potentially broken deck – it has to be a scary sight to face, when sitting down for the deciding match of the day. But Tormod was not fazed. He won game 1. Lost a close game 2. Had to let Doomsday resolve in game 3. But when the dust settled, with his Norwegian teammembers shouting “Ro, ro, ro!” in the background, Tormod managed to eek out the win. He is our 2026 European Legacy Champion!
