The European Legacy Masters takes place at 4Seasons Autumn in Bologna (Italy), on December 3rd 2022.

Practical details

The European Legacy Masters is an invitation-only event. The list of qualified players can be found here. The tournament is free to play for all contestants.

• Round 1 start: 11:00
• Event size: max. 84 players
• Event structure: 7 rounds of swiss + Top 8
• REL: Competitive. You must register your decklist online, as you enrol for ELM.
• Sanctioned: NO. Proxies are allowed. See details below.

Coverage

Our coverage crew is ready to bring you all the action live from inside the hall. Starting at 11AM CET, the event will be streamed on twitch.tv/4seasonstournaments. Text coverage will also be available on Twitter, and right here on our website.

Tournament Location

4Seasons tournaments take place at Circolo ARCI Benassi, just outside the centre of Bologna, Italy.

Entry to the venue is free. ARCI Benassi features a bar, lunch and dinner options, and various vendors to provide you with cards and accessories. Official health and safety guidelines apply. Currently, we do not expect there to be vaccine or mask mandates. Use your common sense and be respectful of other players.

Next to almost € 1000 worth of store credit, each top 8 competitor will get an exclusive ELM Top 8 playmat courtesy of our main sponsor, Boose MTG. The artwork was designed by Bulgarian concept artist Svetoslav Petrov.

ELM Aperitivo

The European Legacy Masters is as much about the gathering, as is it about the Magic. To welcome you all, ELM Competitors are invited for an informal meet-up on Friday, December 2nd at 20:00, at the bar inside ARCI Benassi, next to the main tournament room. This is a perfect opportunity to meet your fellow competitors and ELM representatives, have a drink and share some stories from the Friday Team Trios event.

Proxy guidelines

At the European Legacy Masters, you are allowed to use as many playtest cards (“proxies”) as you need. To ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, including the viewers at home in case your match gets featured on stream, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:

• Proxies must be in full colour and clearly recognizable to your opponent and outside spectators.
• When using images other than the official card face, the same rules that exist for altered cards apply. Make sure it is clear which card you are representing, and stay clear of explicit or offensive imagery.
• The cards must be created and sleeved in such a manner, that they are indistinguishable from other cards in the deck. Notably, the thickness and feel of the cards must match.
• The head judge has the final word when it comes to determining whether your proxies could be considered marked, or not sufficiently recognizable.
