Congratulation to Matteo Blasi, your 2024 European Legacy Masters Champion!
At ELM 2024, 112 of Europe’s most powerful wizards gathered in Bologna, to crown a new champion. After the recent banning of Grief, the big question on everyone’s lips was whether the Dimir Reanimator deck was kept in check, or whether the combination of Psychic Frog and the Reanimator package still reigned supreme over the Legacy format.
It turns out, you can’t keep a good Frog down, as after seven rounds, half of the Top 8 decks featured the amphibian menace. When the dust settled and we got to the finals, it came down to Britain’s Niko Altaparmakov against the Italian tempo specialist, Matteo Blasi, in a Reanimator mirror. And after three intense games, the Matteo, the Nimblest of all Mongeese, came out on top!
